A question I have received a ton on Instagram and Snapchat is:

"Hey! I am going to Disney for X amount of time. What should I do and what should I bring?"

Well in terms of things to do you can always refer to my Travel Guide, I update it after every trip with some of my favorites! As to the packing, preparation, and purse stashing. Here is what I bring with me on a typical park day!

I used to carry a small cross body bag for park days (this one is perfect if you need one! I still love it for games, concerts, and other events.) but since I hated having so much on my neck and shoulders last trip, I decided to invest in this fanny pack. It holds way more and doesn't seem to get in the way!

Results will be shared once I have worn it in this next week, but so far I love it! Plus its an equally cute way to display Disney pins. My usual way to add flair is on a lanyard or a pair of overalls.

And the hoops that I carry with me are for #natalieshiddenhoops

I usually am fine with paying for the high priced food in Disney (its usually worth what you spend in my opinion) but I do make sure to pack a few granola bars for lines. I can't tell you how many times I falsely assessed a rides wait time only to find myself too far in to get out and absolutely starving.

The other reason granola bars and dry packaged foods are the only food I pack is that I usually come to the park from Portland and flying with snacks is a whole other game that I do not wish to play. I try to keep it simple which is why I have been loving these Square bars so much!

-Organic
-Doesn't Taste Like Powder
-Gluten Free in case I need to hand one out
- Packs Protein

But most of all: Doesn't get gross sitting in my purse!

Same goes for these nutter butter packets from Wild Friends, they saved us so many times last trip without leaking. My boyfriend Cameron gets immensely hungry all of a sudden sometimes so these were great to have in line.

My most favorite thing that I picked up last trip, this Marie mirror! I loved the Aristocats as a kid so this was a must have in my book, plus the mirror is occasionally handy.

This trip I have a birthday day built in so I threw in my Birthday button to bring along. You can pick these up at the park! I wrote a blog post all about where to snag them and other great freebies you can pick up in the park.

As many of you know from Instagram, I carry miniature hoops with me to hide for followers (#natalieshiddenhoops) in the park! To find out how to get one in real time, you can follow me on Snapchat and Twitter where I share the location and exact drop time.

I love seeing where they end up, so if you find one be sure to tag me and use #NataliesHiddenHoops to share your hoop with other folks who have found one!

Other Great Ideas:

-Sunscreen (I love this brand)
-Ibuprofen or Advil (lots and lots of soreness from walking)
-Fit Bit (I have the Charge HR)

A lot of these aren't pictured here because they are included in the "Minimergency" Kit that I carry around! It's the best ever!

Be prepared and your trip is sure to be magical! Any other ideas? What so you carry around with you in a Disney park?

So long beautiful Portland weather.

I say that while sitting here editing this post while it pours buckets outside, these photos were snapped a few days prior when the sunshine was out for a rare moment. This is the first year I am actually loving (or even remotely tolerating) the sunshine so I am a little bummed that it was only temporary. My favorite place to be while the sun is out in PDX is the Pearl District, since there are so many restaurants, boutiques, and urban parks to enjoy outdoors.

More on my love/hate relationship with the Portland sun can be found here in this old post.

These jeans are new and are seriously the best if you are a short person like me. No hemming required and the petite sizing is perfect!

Looking forward to many a summer outfit, sunshine come back!

The Sephora X Minnie Style collection is so dang cute that when I spotted it in store over the weekend, I knew I needed to post about it. The colors are vibrant, the theming is cute, and although I have yet to try it out the quality seemed solid for the price. I am not usually a fan of gold and red together, but it works and it works well in this instance.

The items that stand out most to me are not the actual cosmetics but the accessories! The compact mirror, handheld "bow" mirror, and brush set are so so cute. The compact is a little bulky for my taste, but the colors seemed vibrant and worth the inexpensive price point.

Disney theming, inexpensive pricing. Im in! I havent been this excited about a collaboration in the beauty world since Star Wars and Covergirl came together

I have rounded up some of the items for browsing in the widget below. Happy shopping!

For spring break this year my friends and I jammed ourselves into a rental car for 30 hours and drove down to Disneyland and back! It was so much fun, but also so much sitting and so many stretches were needed to keep from turning into stone.

Comfort wear was very (very) necessary and I learned a few things about outfits for long travel days. Here is a little bit about what I wore and what I learned.

1. Grab a sweater or shawl that can be converted into a last minute blanket or pillow/ This is super helpful when you need it and the key is to wear a sweater light enough to be peeled off when it gets too hot but is easy to throw back on when it gets cold. This one from Crane and Lion that I am wearing is super thin but bulks up pretty well into a last minute sleep aid. I also loved that it was long in the front and short in the back (wrap style) so that there wasn't the risk of sitting on it while I was in the car.

2. Keep jewelry and accessories simple/ More things worn equals more things that you can loose within the cracks and crevices of the car. I kept it pretty simple with a small necklace and my favorite watch.

3. Bring sunglasses/ Or you risk getting blinded, sunglasses were a must have!

4. If changing climates bring layers or a convertible outfit/ We passed all the way through Southern Oregon, into Northern California, down to Southern California and back so its safe to say the climate was different each time we got out of the car. I tried to dress accordingly and brought a pair of backup shorts so that if it really was too warm I could strip down to a tee and shorts.

5. Keep your makeup and haircare super light/ I learned this one the hard way and put a usual amount of Moroccan oil in my hair before we left. My hair felt greasy by noon and I was done. Same goes with makeup. The lighter it is, the better you will feel at the end of the day.
