November 2014 | Ariel and Alder
I would say this is the last time that you will see this Old Navy vest, but I would be lying. I have been snagging it throw over absolutely any outfit when I leave my apartment. Its just so easy to pair and folds neatly into a tote bag if I need to store it in a lecture or meeting where the heater has been turned on way to high.

Same thoughts regarding this flannel. Easy to pair and I love the variety of colors in the plaid pattern. One of my friends totally caught me wearing it two times in the span of a few days. Oops!

How perfectly festive is this necklace? Lindsay's Necklaces are beyond gorgeous and I think I might need one in every color and pattern. You would think because they are such a statement piece that they wouldn't get much daily wear but I've been finding that with so many holiday events (both casual and formal) coming up I keep grabbing it to add some extra "wow" factor to whatever I am wearing.

Outfit Details: Rain Boots/ Flannel Shirt (c/o)/ Denim (c/o)/ Quilted Vest (c/o)/ Monogrammed Crossbody (c/o)/ Necklace (c/o)/ Earrings (c/o)/ Bow Ring (on sale!)

PS. I have been wearing my Moon and Lola soho studs so much that a backup pair might be needed for the holidays! M&L is running a great discount deal on GILT City right now! Definitely worth checking out if you want to see some monogrammed goodies under the tree this year!

Have you ever been caught wearing the same outfit twice in a row?

Its officially freezing here in the Pacific Northwest. I was in denial about the outside temperature for awhile but eventually I had to turn on the high heat in my apartment. The cold weather (and my homework) have forced me inside for the season and as someone who coincidentially works from home I have to keep myself occupied and on track all the while staying warm.

I have been loving this monogrammed fleece for nights in and cold days working at my desk. It was so sweet of the Marley Lilly girls to send one just in time for the cold November nights! I swear Marley Lilly has the biggest selection of monogrammed items. Its the best kind of overwhelming!

Im not usually a fan of "script" monogramming but I am loving how the master circle script style turned out on the pullover! It's just the right amount of curve without being too frilly and I love how the letters don't interlock.

Ive also been turning to slippers and fuzzy socks to keep my feet warm. I have had these monkey slippers from Target going on three years now! And while I do love them, I was so sad to find a tiny little hole on the bottom of them. I will pull out a sewing kit to fix them up but its definitely time for a new pair. Ive heard these ones are super comfy!

How cute are these little notecards from Amy Ruth Designs? I have been using a few of them as bookmarks and they make the cutest little daily motivators!

On My Bed: Ikea Duvet Cover/ Little Giraffe Throw Blanket/ Monogrammed Shams (c/o)/ Gold Dot Pillow/ "Live Colorfully" Pillow (long gone, but the new Tory Burch ones are just as cute!)/ Embroidered Lavender Pillow

Whats your favorite thing to do when you're forced inside? Stay warm everyone!

TGIF! So relieved that the weekend is here, and my to-do list is short(ish). My plans involve some apartment chores, a whole lot of laundry paired with Netflix, and some festive "Friendsgiving" celebrations. As temperatures drop I am finally getting some use out of my apartment kitchen! I hardly want to leave my apartment unless I have to right now, with the exception of venturing out for a Starbucks run so cooking is the natural (and wayy cheaper might I add!) result of this predicament.

Today I'm sharing the second part of my Old Navy puffer vest series (Here is the first part if you need to catchup!

What this post should be titled: "Leaves keep falling on my head"

So very excited about the next few posts. I love a good vest, and I'm partnering with Old Navy this month to style the quilted zip front vest a few different ways. Now let me warn you ahead of time, if you aren't the biggest fan of quilted vests or flannel shirts...this might be a blog to avoid. Sorry to be a little bit boring you guys! I am just loving this combo as a cold weather go-to!

I have been wearing Old Navy clothes far before I was dressing myself! (Thanks mom!) They always have the best basics at the best prices, and for parents it's a one stop shop. When I saw that they had quilted vests, I knew it was time that one made it into my closet.

I have contemplated buying the oh-so-popular J.Crew excursion vest for a long time, but for some reason was never able to pull the trigger. Maybe it's because here in Oregon, brands like Patagonia and The North Face reign as the vest makers of choice and I wasn't ready to fully commit to something new.

Fortunately if your anything like me and want to try out the trend at a great price, Old Navy has quilted vests for under thirty dollars

How cute is this phone case? Amy and I are working on a fun office project and I couldn't help but share a little preview. Her cases are so so cute and it  happened to match the outfit ; )

Outfit Details: Flannel Shirt (c/o)/ Denim (c/o)/ Quilted Vest (c/o)/ Pearl Bracelet/ Kate Spade Bangle (old, loving this one)/ Boots/ TMH Tote Bag (c/o)/ Sweet and Spark Bangle (c/o)/ Nail Color/ Amy Ruth Designs Phone Case (c/o)/ Earrings (c/o KEP Designs)

Do you have your eye on anything from Old Navy this season?
