As some of you may have noticed on Instagram, I picked up a new hobby and the hobby has quickly turned into obsession. I'm definitely not a newbie when it comes to Disney Crafting, but this is turning out to be my favorite way to get crafty.

Its fun, its cheap, and I thought I would share what I've been stitching lately!

And my latest one, which is inspired by world of color in DCA. One of my favorites for sure! Below is a little graphic about its progress, it was one of the harder ones I have done and I definitely stabbed myself a few times in the process. 


And of course I owe my friend Lauren a healthy dose of Starbucks for teaching me to do this! Her Etsy shop just opened up and its unreal! The "hello" hoop is my absolute favorite!! You can shop her other hoops in the widget below this post :)

Not usually much of a peruser at Shopbop, but since there is a sale going on I took a quick look at some spring goodies and fell in love with like a dozen items. Adult overalls y'all, they are totally a thing and are back for the summer. Last week a lightning bolt of need struck me and I instantly felt compelled to run to the nearest thrift store in search of a great pair of overalls. Well apparently I wasn't the only one in search of them because every single Goodwill I went to was 100% sold out. What, since when is the thrift store ever sold out of a traditionally "ugly" or "taboo" item. Just my luck I guess. 

Lucky for me Old Navy thinks they are cute and sells them at a bargain.



Overalls were something I loved as a kid, easy to run around in and totally "personalize-able" if thats even a word. I used to cover mine in thread, patches, and oodles of Disney pins. Which brings me back to another revived 90's trend I'm really digging this season, enamel pins and flair.

Etsy is a great place to start building your collection if you aren't familiar with pin collecting/displaying!

Obviously being the Disney pin hoarder (aficionado?) that I am I have been taking a note from Disney Style and wearing mine according to color and character. I grouped all my Aristocats pins (from 1999!!) when we shot these photos.

Im in that stage of winter where I am 100% over it. Done, finished, 50 shades of no thank you.


Lucky for me, I have just enough neutrals to carry me over till the bright spring/summer hues arrive. If you are a color junkie like I am, this is a rare feat! I am so attracted to anything thats bright colorful or patterned that I often forget to snag neutrals and basics when shopping. 

This scarf that I am wearing is one of my all time favorite neutral pieces. When Cameron gave it to me for Christmas I said "this scarf makes me want to throw out all my other ones and just have this one!!" Its seriously the softest, coziest, and goes with everything so why would I need any others!?

Cam cautioned me not to throw all my scarves out on impulse, a suggestion that I later appreciated but seriously if you have to commit to just one this one is the one to commit to.


Two recent obsessions: This tunic that I picked up for a grand total of ten dollars, and these tried and true sunnies that are so well loved its starting to show. I wear them year long and would recommend 'em in a heartbeat to anyone investing in their first designer pair!

Perler beads were what started my addiction to create and craft. In kindergarten I used to make dozens of patterns with these little plastic beads and turn them into coasters for my dads office. The craft itself is simple and easy, but the possibilities are endless. When my nephews picked up interest in Perler beads this summer, I took advantage of this newfound interest and made some cute little Disney and Pixar magnets. They are easy, cheap, and totally adorable.

We keep ours on the office whiteboard and they are great for holding receipts! 

All you need is: 
-Magnets
-Iron
-Hot Glue Gun
-Perler Beads (just buy the assorted pack!)
-Rectangular perler bead board. 

So that you can try your hand without worrying about pattern creation (which gets easier with practice, trust me!) I have included two templates in the bottom of the post. 

Once you master the layout it becomes pretty easy too look at a pattern and replicate or alter.
